Full-Time Captain - 38meter - Private

Summer - Northeast USA

Winter - South Florida/Bahamas

We are looking for an outgoing and driven captain to join a busy private program and become a long-term captain for wonderful owners.

Summer plans involve heavy owner usage in the Northeast USA - Owners love to use the water toys, so there is a mix of anchorage and docking.
Winter is a slower season based in Miani/Bahamas

The future goal is to become commercial compliant and offer the vessel for charter during the winter in the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

The owners are at the stage of their ownership where they are ready to see new places (kids are now in college).

This is a great program for sea-time. We are considering well-experienced Chief Officers who are looking to step up.

*Couples Opportunity* There will soon be an interior position open onboard, strong couples welcome!

Start Date - End of September

8 crew onboard during the summer, 7 during the winter.

Qualifications:

Master 500gt or higher. (already/can be endorsed by CI)
Valid STCW, ENG1, and all relevant certification
Knowledge of ISM and safety compliance

Requirements:

Proven Captain experience on 35-40m yachts
Extensive cruising experience in South Florida, the Bahamas, and the Northeast USA (essential)
Hands-on leadership style
Calm, composed, and consistent under pressure
Ability to work proactively during busy times and remain positive

Other:

There is opportunity to promote a charter program onboard, as the ultimate goal is to charter the boat throughout the winter (in the Bahamas)
Candidates should be happy to be pretty much non-stop throughout the summer season in the Northeast US

Compensation:

Salary is based on experience level and is competitive - Good Salary as it's busy!
Annual leave in accordance with the flag state
Owners pay for crew certificates, licenses, and training
Captains private cabin in the wheelhouse
