We are looking for a full-time Captain for a 75ft private M/Y

The yacht has just come out of an extensive yard period with full upgrades throughout
(Semi) live aboard owners - a lovely couple from Texas
Ample notice will be given before trips and future travel plans
April to September plans - Intensive six-month itinerary through the Bahamas, the Florida Keys, and up the U.S. East Coast
These owners are new boat owners and are really looking for a well-rounded Captain to help guide them
The vessel will run with a Captain and a First Mate (when needed) for washing, varnishing and maintenance labor
Start Date is flexible, between 1st-Mid April
This is a lovely opportunity to show the sweetest new owners how to enjoy their boat
They really are depending on the Captain to enhance their overall experience this Summer
This is the owners first ever season owning a boat
First trip is booked for May 1st in the Bahamas, and they would like to be up in New England by July 1st (docking booked)
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in operations management, the captain will manage day-to-day operations, including supervising or directly handling maintenance, repairs, cleaning, outfitting spare parts, and budgeting.
- Experience cruising the Bahamas, the Florida Keys, and up the U.S. East Coast
- Experience in watersports, diving, and fishing. The owners would love someone to guide them with diving and fishing
- An experienced, mature individual who remains calm under pressure.
- A genuine love for boating and a willingness to guide the owners, as new boat owners
- Experience with Sunseekers and/or Italian built yachts is preferred
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 200GT License
- Full STCW (Advanced)
- Applicable Visa to work onboard a foreign flagged vessel in the USA
Compensation:
- Salary is based on experience level, and will be competitive as the Owners will be onboard a lot
- Annual leave allowance in accordance with the Jamaican Flag
- Terms are negotiable
