Full-Time Captain Position (Private/Charter)
We are looking for an experienced charter Captain to manage a 37-meter motor yacht. The boat has a wonderful American owner who uses the boat a handful of times each year. The boat also charters.
Foreign Flagged Vessel.
A dual season program with a steady pace. Winters are based out of Fort Lauderdale with trips/charters in and around the Bahamas. In the Summer the boat is typically shipped over to the Mediterranean.
Start Date - ASAP.
Qualifications:
- Master 500gt or higher.
- Valid STCW, ENG1, and all relevant certification
- Strong knowledge of ISM and safety compliance
Requirements:
- Proven Captain experience on 35-40m yachts
- Extensive cruising experience in South Florida, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean (essential)
- Hands-on leadership style
- Strong charter background with guest-facing confidence and charm
- Calm, composed, and consistent under pressure
- Ability to work proactively during quiet periods of the season
Other:
- There is opportunity to elevate the charter program onboard, as currently they only charter 3-4 times per year
- Candidates should be happy to be based in South Florida for the majority of the year
- The owner is lovely and only manages to use the boat a few times per year
Compensation:
- Salary is based on experience level and is competitive
- Annual leave in accordance with the flag state
- Terms are negotiable
