We are seeking a local Captain for a beautiful 55ft vessel
The boat is based year-round in a Marina located in St Thomas.
This position would only suit someone who is already based in St. Thomas
Could consider an experienced 1st Mate ready to step up.
Candidates must hold a valid US Passport or Greencard
This is an easy-going family with 2 teenage sons, they do not use the boat excessively, usually 1-2 days per week
The family travels a lot and wants to fully trust someone to take care of the vessel during that time
This position would suit a Captain who has a Chef/Stew partner who can freelance from time to time
Requirements:
- 100GT or higher
- STCW Basic Training (fully updated)
- ENG1 Medical Certificate
- US/ Green card holder
- Bonus points if you have experience maintaining Volvo engines
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Captain on similar sized vessels
- Contactable recent references
Package Details:
Salary on offer is approximately $7,500 per month +/- DOE
Paid annual leave is negotiable and can be discussed upon interview
