Sole Chef – 46m – Private/Possible Future Charter
Dual Season, Bahamas and Mediterranean.
We are seeking a Sole Chef for a 46M private motor yacht. The vessel is on its way to Italy, where she will be based for the Summer. The winters will be based in Fort Lauderdale with trips in and around the Bahamas.
This is a Jamaican-flagged vessel operating a dual season, exploring the Bahama and Mediterranean, with an international crew of 11 and an American owner with a large family. The owner would like to charter in the future, pending a charter license.
This is a busy program, with the owner frequently onboard alongside a full complement of guests and children (sometimes up to 17 guests, including many children). We are looking for a well-experienced Chef who thrives in a fast-paced, busy environment and can demonstrate strong versatility, from simple bar food and snacks through to refined plated fine dining. The crew onboard are fantastic; hardworking, supportive of each other, and team-oriented—and the vessel places a strong emphasis on loyalty and work ethic.
The new owner has implemented rotation across the crew who are already onboard, therefore, rotation for the new Chef will be considered following a successful summer season.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Full STCW certification
- PDSD certification
- ENG1 certification
- Valid Schengen Visa (if applicable)
- B1 is preferred but not essential (the boat is willing to assist in a B1 application before heading to the US next winter)
- Experience as a Sole Chef onboard similar sized vessels
Compensation:
- Salary is TBD (competitive) - The crew are paid well as the program is busy
- Annual leave days - per flag state (to begin with)
