Sole Chef - 42meter - Private/Charter
Dual Season - South Florida/Bahamas & Mediterranean

The boat has a great charter reputation with busy dual seasons ahead (8 weeks already booked for the Med)
Fort Lauderdale during the winter with Bahamas/Caribbean charters
Genoa based during the summer with charters throughout the Mediterranean
We are looking for an All-Round 'Rock Star' Chef
Somone who can come onboard and elevate the whole experience for guests and crew
There is a lovely crew onboard who work hard and enjoy a positive environment
American owners who use the moderately with planned trips (not onboard anytime the boat isn't chartering)
This could be seen as a Seasonal position or long-term/Permanent.
Start Date is ASAP in Genoa
The Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years as a Charter Chef on similar sized vessels
- Multi-talented across all types of cuisine and dietary preferences
- Someone who is comfortable with guest relations
- An energetic and bubbly persona
- Strong work ethic - the summer is booked out for charters
Requirements:
- STCW Basic Training (fully updated)
- PDSD Certificate
- ENG1 Medical Certificate
- Schengen visa (for non-EU crew)
- Valid B1/B2 visa preferred but not essential
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience cooking onboard yachts
- Contactable recent references
Package Details:
- Starting Salary - USD 9,000
- 38 days paid leave, plus DYT transport/crossing is given as additional days off (both ways)
- 13-month bonus
- Courses paid for by owner after 6 months of employment
- Medical Insurance and flights to your repatriation destination
- The crew do really well with charter tips
- The captain is lovely/fair and will give crew days off during season where possible
